K'achoolu

The K'achoolu.
It is said that merely by looking into a man's eyes he can paralyze him for up to two weeks.



Colds can do that to you.
The K'achoolu weaponizes the world's inability to effectively treat the common cold as a humane (or maybe not) anti-personnel tactic. It accomplishes this via a symbiotic strain of rhinovirus that can propel itself through the air, instinctively following UV light emitted by the K'achoolu's eyes.
Much of the K'achholu's girth is merely a bloated breeding sac for virii, each species of which affects a different group of animals, though only the human cold can fly. Other virids are transmitted via the K'achoolu's mucusy tentacles. When these viral sacs are empty, the K'achoolu looks almost like a normal octopus, though with disproportioned tentacles and a dangling pair of legs.
The UV rays emitted by K'achoolu's eyes are generated by bacteria, and it also has gut flora capable of digesting heavy metals with no ill effects.
